IT RAINED!!!

Praise God! It had been looking like rain all day and even started a little in the late morning. Then finally this afternoon it really rained! It wasn't a gully-washer but it rained for a long time and is still raining off and on. This kind of rain doesn't bring the most water but it does get the ground more saturated. Thank you all for your prayers. Please pray that the rains will continue and fill up all the water holes!

A Little Rain

This afternoon we were all excited when we heard it start to rain (as seen on leaves in photo). Unfortunately, it didn't last more than 5 minutes - if that. We are hoping that more is to follow, please continue helping us pray for rain! We need it so desperately!

Pray for Rain

Well, the guys have worked to get ready for rain but as of yet we have had none. Things are very dry here and people are losing hope of having any harvest. Please help us pray for long, gentle rains for this area.

Preparing for Rain and More Trees

Since we often get rain (sometimes hurricanes) in September the guys have been getting ready, in the case of flooding, to protect the current trees and capture as much water as possible so they can plant new ones. They are loving the tiller that Manis got in the US as it saves them from having to do that work with a hoe.

Church Building Update: The Walls are Up... Completely!

The walls went up a week ago, but they still had to do the tops of the windows and a few more rows of block. Now they are done with that, so the walls are all finished!

Saying Goodbye

Yesterday Dave and Ginger Muchmore, Bonita Sparling and Lara Berry all left to return to the US. Thank you all so much for all your help here this summer. We miss you!

Girls Camp... Final Program

Last night was the closing program for camp. The girls presented what they had learned and Manis judged all the food!

The girls from Port-au-Prince left at 3:00 this morning to return home. Please pray that God will use what they learned in their lives and that they will continue to grow in their relationship with Him.
