Hurricane Season...Friday's Storm

 Friday August 29th
Hurrican Cristobal passed through the North West of Haiti leaving in its trail 5 deaths. 2 of them were found near the Plateau.

One was a medical student who had just graduated. He was in Anse Rouge and was wanting to head back to his home in Jean Rebel. He was encouraged not to go but decided to chance the storm. His body was found along with another young girl in the ravine.

Saturday morning the damaged was surveyed. Roads washed out and some gardens wiped away.
Thank you for your continued prayers!

Sighhhh...praying for those who mourn the loss of those who died. Hard to comprehend a place where we pray for rain and yet rain as it arrives in a hurricane can kill; not just people but can destroy crops and all that it could have brought to a family. Praying God will heal the plateau and those who call it home...
